Ever since I read the Licking Thicket series, I've become a fan of small town romances and May Archer. I decided to read all her other books and I was not disappointed at all! Off Plan was a light, fun read with a little bit of mystery, that just added to the book!
Mason and Fenn were great together! Their personalities are really different, and from the moment they met, they just clashed with one another But slowly, they went from enemies, to friends to lovers. The way their relationship progressed was beautiful and I absolutely adored the residents of Whispering Key as well!
Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a small town romance that will keep you hooked all the way through!

This was a nice read but it was pretty formulaic for the GFY/sexual awakening trope. At least the angst-filled breakup only lasted a millisecond.

So good!
I loved this one! The ways Mason and Fenn played off each other was captivating and hilarious. Their banter had me laughing out loud many times. All the people in Whispering Key leave you wanting to know more about them and I'm excited to continue this series to learn more!
I really appreciated that there weren't a lot of dramatics in this book. With some romances the miscommunication can be stretched out until it's absolutely annoying and unbearable. This book was not at all like that! I liked that the characters were relatable in their actions and thought processes and nothing seemed overdone.
Highly suggest this one!

This was another fun read! I loved that Fenn and Mason were complete opposites. Fenn was so grumpy and feral and Mason was so put together. I also liked that both of them were kind of in the midst of quarter life crises with a smidge of burnout thrown in. I really loved the small town feel that Whispering Key had. I loved the quirky residents and the absurdity of the island lore. Overall Off Plan was really fun and I’m giving it a 3.75 stars.
Graphic: Car accident
Moderate: Gaslighting
Minor: Homophobia, Injury/Injury detail, Violence, Infidelity, and Outing
Everything I marked as minor is related to Fenn’s backstory. It’s not a big part of the main story but it is discussed in several conversations throughout the book.stillsarahjane's review

This book was so fun, I love a romance that starts off with both characters being ridiculously annoyed with each other and this book delivered!
The banter was so good and everything was so entertaining.
This story features: a "Five Star Resort", a town full of endearing busybodies, a bisexual awakening, and treasure.

I discovered May Archer’s books this year and I’ve torn through all of the O’Leary books, one of my favourites happened to be Micah and Con’s story. When I started this I didn’t know it was Mason, Micah’s brother because I just knew I’d like it without reading the blurb

An excellent romance between two beautiful but jaded/hurt people - which makes you doubly glad they found THEIR HEA.
