I was curious to find out how the other brothers found their partners. but this was such horrible writing. Not to mention I have a major problem with weak-willed woman characters. Grow some!

Better than the first one, still not super impressed. Lots of repetitive phrases, cheesy moments that didn’t fit the vibe. Quick read but it doesn’t suck you in.

DNF at 34% (pg 145).

I just did.not.care.

I'm so disappointed by this book! The first book in this series is one of my all time favorite scandy romance reads, but this book was so different and bllaaaah. It follows Jace, one of the secondary characters mentioned in the first book, as he falls in love with a homeless girl that he decides he wants to control and fix every part of her life... Oh, and this is after he and his bestie, Ash, had a threesome with the chick the night they met her.

Really, it's just a big train wreck. I really wish Maya Banks would have made the rest of this series about Gabe and Mia (characters from book one). The small parts of this book that they were featured in were honestly the only good parts.

I really love Maya Banks across all of her romance genres: erotic, historical, suspense, and category. I’ve been very excited about her Breathless trilogy because I was thinking it was going to almost like one of her category romances with lots of smexy scenes thrown in for fun. I enjoyed the first book in the series but unfortunately this story, Fever, just didn’t quite do it for me. There was very much an insta-lust attraction between Jace and Bethany and an almost instant protective bend to Jace’s feelings for Bethany. There was a level of smexiness to a Ms. Banks story that I loved. But I just got tired of the same argument between Jace and Bethany over and over again. I felt like they hashed through the same issues repeatedly which in a real relationship I could totally see happening, but in my story I just kept wishing they could get over that issue and move forward. So a little disappointed with this story but I am still eager for the last book in the series.

I liked Fever more than [b:Rush|16033902|Rush (Breathless, #1)|Maya Banks|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1359943771l/16033902._SX50_.jpg|21805183] BUT I did not like the characters more than I like Mia and Gabe.

Gabe and Jace are the same in the way that they puff out their chest and act all macho but then have no backbone when it's important. Why have a threesome if your not really down?

I don't hate the idea of a threesome and I actually thought the scene was pretty hot. The hottest of all the sex scenes...So that tells you how boring the book turned.

Bethany is not very memorable and pretty flaky and wish washy. I think she was written well and consistently but I just didn't like her.

I did really like that this book dove a bit more into the bdsm scene and was very traditional. Many complained about the collar, but I liked that bit a lot because of how it tied into the bdsm vibes of the book.

Overall, I would suggest this book to read if you liked the first or you liked Maya Banks. It is not a waste of time and will entertain, but its not a hidden gem.

I did not liked this book. I actually hated it like almost to the very end. The only reason im giving it 2 stars if because the last chapters were good but otherwise this book is cringeworthy and so fucked up that the only reason that im gonna read the last installment in this series is because is about Ash and out of all the boys, im curious about him the most.
