I gotta be honest, I wish there was either more spice or more plot. I don't think the plot is prevalent enough on the story to feel high stakes and that would be fine it the spice was ramped up. I was hoping for multiple men at a time, at least more then what we got at the end lol. Her moment with luca at the end though was so amazingly sweet and the beast was so hot lmao. I might still give the last one a chance.

I thought this book had good advancements to the plot but felt like there wasn't enough plot focused time in the book. We spent most of the time with Kiara being tortured or just being with the guys and not a lot of answers to the questions we have. But it seems like this book was mostly a stepping stone to get to the 3rd book which I think will have more plot and answers so I'm excited to read it.

Oh. My. God

I just finished this book and I originally thought it was a duology but not with that %$*#ing ending!!! I almost screamed!
Ok love this book. I look the spicy parts but I love that they accent the story and it's not the focus. I love the bonds the characters are making and the growth of the MC!!

I am a horror reader.

These books came up as “horror” on NetGalley because of the demons and monsters and gore. But good golly Miss Molly, these WHITE HOT books are NOT horror.

I recently finished this second book in the series involving the supernatural being, Kiara, and her harem of five alpha shapeshifters. The first book is Blood and Ruin which introduced us to Kiara, trapped in an abusive relationship with her powerful crime kingpin stepfather, named, of all things, King. Kiara meets her childhood friends and realizes they are her “mates.” Her mates give her hope and a reason to escape.

In Blood and Wrath, Kiara finally consummates her relationships with her mates. Repeatedly. And with fervor. Then they learn their newfound peace is under attack by the Underworld.

Blood and Wrath is a fiery reverse harem tale of sex, magic and violence. It’s fun and fast-moving, explicit and over the top. I had a gotdam fiesta listening to this bawdy tale. It ends in another cliffhanger and I would listen to the next to see where this story goes.

Thank you @NetGalley and @Dreamscape_Media for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

Well. The torture game is back on. She was almost free, but betrayal caused her to lose the momentum in the end, which is actually the beginning. Thinking her mates are all dead, she's forced to a new type of torture that involves sterile white rooms and the overwhelming atmosphere of "evil scientist lab."

And the boys are absolutely lost without her. They are going out of their minds trying to find her and killing anyone who gets in their way. I do appreciate their dedication to her though, she deserves that after the hell she has gone through.

This book was quite a bit hotter than the first as well, so it worked out to be a nice gradual introduction. But damn is Kiarra lucky to have five men willing to worship between her thighs instead of worrying about themselves.

Watching the characters strengthen and develop their bond was interesting. I like that you can see how much each character cares for another, but it's not made out to be a cake walk like it so often is. There is trust issues, arguments, differences of opinion, etc. But they always talk it out with one another and move forward in a way that doesn't make any of the others feel caged.
