At first I thought this book was going better than the first but 70% in I started getting annoyed with the repetitiveness, the lack of details, and lack of character and world building. I wanted to just speed read to see what happens but my curiosity has ran it's course and I no longer cared and had to dnf the book. I had even skipped pages of action that had 0 build up to and I was more interested in Kiarra discovering her powers but I literally cannot continue this book. It's just so bad.

Ahh I am loving this series so much. The tension just keeps building and we get to watch the characters grow and develop so much more, into these strong independent people that work so well together. We get to see a lot more of the romacne side in this one and watch them strengthen the bond that they have. We get to see them gradually find this balance that works for them and how they all play an important part, not just to the story but also to each other. I love the banter that we get to see between them and all the little quirky moments. Rumer Hale’s writing is just so quick and easy to read, that you fly through it and before you even realise it, you’re at the end ready for the next. Highly enjoyable reads, that I most definitely recommend checking out.
