This wasn’t the book I thought it was going to be - I wasn’t expecting it to be so focused on mental health.
Bella Mackie had a lot of interesting things to say, however too much data and stats were included.

A fascinating look at how anxiety wreaks havoc on lives and how a simple idea like exercise can help people cope. She is very clear that it won't "Cure" mental illness but it can play a significant role in helping to reduce the effects. Highly recommend.

As well as telling her own story, the author has done research around exercise and mental health to encourage all of us to put on our trainers and take that first step. She is very encouraging and the book leaves me hopeful that my own efforts will continue to improve my mental health. Of course, when she wrote it she couldn’t have begun to imagine how the pandemic would change our lives. I also love how the chapters start at “1k” and end at “10K”!
