I consider it a good thing when I finish a book and I’m a little confused. As in “I feel like there’s so many different takeaways.” It gets me thinking. Definitely a book I would re-read to catch things I might have missed the first go-round. Very good commentary on the need the put people in boxes and the complexities of religious faith.
Incredible and subtle writing which evokes a lot of emotion.

This one’s really hard to rate because this is something really different for me. I don’t usually read literary fiction but I’ve started reading a little bit of weird fiction and I’ve been enjoying my time with them.
This one follows a character called ‘pew’ and they’re nicknamed so because they were found sleeping on a church pew. No one’s knows this persons age, gender or where they have come from.
I really enjoyed the religious small town atmosphere that this book has and I felt like there was an ominous feeling surrounding this town.
I was intrigued about what was going on.
The ending is quite ambiguous so if you like answers I don’t think this is the book for you

Very intriguing, and the writing was beautiful. With a book like this, I managed my expectations so I didn’t expect very much, but….I still wish there was, yknow, a point to the book. There is something there, but overall, this just left me feeling very unsatisfied. On to the next book!

A strange little fable about connection, and how our ideas about the each other and the world get in the way of our ability to actually see each other.
I received this book through a Giveaway. I'm finding it a little hard to get my thoughts together on this book. It is one of those books that at the end you say 'what just happened'. If you don't enjoy ambiguous stories and particularly ambiguous endings I would not recommend that you read this book. But if you don't mind ambiguity I highly recommend reading Pew.
