This book was truly amazing. I basically only have nitpicks for the book. The chapters are a bit short for my liking and the Alexandria/Reagan airport thing being resolved halfway through the book is a bit weird. Those are like the smallest most nothing nitpicks I have no other issues. Jamie and Andrew are so good as characters the fact that they slowly grow to love each other, Andrew's humor, how collected Jamie is (and when he isn't). No notes at all. The cabin feels so cosy. Howie's group is such a good first conflict the way it seems like a big deal only for it to like shrink in comparison. I loved the discussion of them travelling the atmosphere is so good it's so good. I'm not used to apocalyptic books without an undead threat but the book is still as tense as any walking dead, the threat of humans is more than enough. Axe mannique is a fav. Them meeting Henti is so good I love her I need to see her reunite with her daughter. Also fighting lions is metal as hell. The Foster plotline is so interesting and I love Andrew leaving to trust Jamie with that and then forgive himself and then the dynamic flips. The love Chris and his family at the airport. All the people they meet are great. Fort Caroline is so freaky and menacing. The questions for women fill me with dread and CARA. She stole the show for me shes the best character. the ending is so heartwarming even if there's total terror for Jamie. The subtle homophobia was scary from Harvey but its so interesting to see Jamie feel bad even tho he's a shithead. i love the ending Andrew and Jamie are happy forever.
