An emotional rollercoaster that was both beautiful and heart breaking.

I will come back and write a thorough review.

There's been a lot of comparisons to The Lovely Bones, but The Bones of You has more of a thriller vibe. Other than the dead girl narrative, I found the suspense and mystery more evenly distributed, with twists I didn't expect. I read A LOT of thrillers and I can usually figure them out before I'm half through. (Sorry, Gone Girl, I knew where you went) The Bones of You kept me guessing, and that is quite a feat. I am looking forward to reading more from Ms. Howells.

Man, oh man, this book was Soooo Good... But it cuts like a knife!!

The Bones of You is the emotional new novel by Debbie Howells. In a quaint, quiet village, an equally quiet teenage girl is brutally murdered. Who killed Rosie Anderson and how will this affect her family and friends? It all sounds like a simple whodunit, right? You couldn't be farther from the truth!

This book has more layers than an onion, and as a reader I found them to be quite delightful. As a mother, though, they were brutal. I really enjoyed watching the Anderson family's past move forward in one timeline as the actual story line was moving along. That is always a great way to break up the monotony of a book and keeps a story from just plodding along. While the town and our main characters were moving forward in the modern day, we were also learning all of the secrets of a family that had many, Many skeletons to hide.

This book moves Very fast. Once I had time to sit and read it, I put it away in only a couple of sessions. It's really very good. You won't want to put this one down, but I'm warning you, it isn't a happy go lucky type of story. It definitely reminds us that there are some really messed up people out there in our world. I'll certainly be hugging my little one tighter, and longer, tonight.

**I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

Kinda lagged in the middle, but it was an all together interesting read. If you like a concentrated look at insanity and the cruel things we do to each, you will like this book.

I was really disappointed by the ending. I was hoping there was a twist, but I pretty much had it figured out by 1/4 of the way through.

Defiantly not a thriller or a mystery. The author tried so hard to make a character responsible that the reader knew it wasn't them. Boring book, not a lot of action or thrilling events.

I liked the writing style of this book. Each chapter is written by one of 4 characters, one of those being the young girl who is murdered at the start of the book. This is a very dark thriller, but it keeps you guessing until the end as to who the murderer is. I received this book through Net Galley before publication, and unfortunately for me I never read it until now. I enjoyed The Bones of You, so much I'm hoping to get her next thriller The Beauty of the End, if I do I will definitely read it before publication.

Thank you to Net Galley for letting me read an advanced copy of this book. I really enjoyed this story and thought the book was very will written. The characters were intriguing and it had me interested throughout. I did figure out the ending ahead of time, but I chalk that up to reading many suspense novels. Great read!

This book actually quite disturbed me. I wish it had come with some warnings to be honest because otherwise I probably wouldn’t have read it. The storyline was good, a psychological thriller but yikes.
