jestem na 154 stornie i na razie odkładam, nie wiem czy do tego wrócę

Interesting easy read…enough that I am now reading the 2nd volume of this series. Characters are a bit one dimensional but the story line keeps it interesting.

mysterious

So I picked this book up with somewhat of a hesitance but enthusiasm. I usually don’t read many mysteries because even though it’s a genre I’m interested in, it never end up being what I’m looking for. The reason I ended up giving this a try was that it gave me Gillian Flynn vibes, whose books I adore. I was thoroughly disappointed. The characters dialogues are 90% “witty banter” which just gets annoying after the first 50 pages. The plot (which was all over the place) did keep me somewhat on edge but it all ended up coming off as cheesy and the way it all tied together was incredibly disappointing. I enjoy Gillian Flynn’s books because the characters solving the mystery are incredibly human. Whereas with this book we have Wilde, the “boy from the woods” which in my opinion is just used as an excuse to give him badass running and climbing skills along with making him smart by having him possibly learn to read on his own.

There were so many interesting storylines that trying to piece it together along with the characters was such a ride. Finished in two sittings essentially, couldn't put it down.
