My favourite in the series so far. Owen Smith is practically a dinosaur when it comes to playing hockey. His teammates call him old. I call him young. But he’s old enough that retirement and jigsaw puzzles are both in this book. I loved it. Emilia is ten years younger and just starting her career. Their relationship was great, understanding and supportive towards each other. Add in some spice, donuts, and teammate Millet and you have a sexy fun romance.

It was so nice to be back in the world of the Comets! I was so excited to see Smith’s book come out and it was just as amazing as I thought it would be. You can’t help but laugh while reading these books, even when the hero is a big, broody hockey player. The witty banter between the men will have you rolling.
Two years prior, Emilia and Smith hooked up for one weekend before they realized they would be working together. They spent two years avoiding each other until Emilia is forced to work with him for the team’s player profile. The attraction is still there between them, but fraternizing is against the team’s policy and will get them fired.
This was an amazing and entertaining book. I highly recommend the series if you enjoy hilarious sports romances. I can not wait for the next book which will be Miller’s. He is by far the funniest player on the team.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I accidentally read this one first because I didn’t look to see the order the books were in. It ended up not being that big of a deal to read the first 3 right after. If you read them out of order, you’re basically just left wondering how the other couples came to be and you’re timeline is a little skewed, but otherwise it’s simple to follow. Tropes are age gap and forbidden romance since he’s on the team and she works for the team. Plot is great and spice fits well in the storyline

If drooling over and falling in love with an alpha, loyal, beautifully hearted Smith is wrong then throw me in the sin bin and let me be. Smith and Emilia had an incredible weekend with each other over two years prior that they both felt it was more than either would let on, but fate stepped in and had other plans. Now Emilia is working for goal to move up in her career for The Carolina Comets and now she has to work side by side with Smith. This thing between these two never faded and is still much alive, yet they both have their reasons for not pursuing it. Smith lives, eats, breathes hockey but he is about to reach the end of his career and that scares him because what will his future look like when loneliness is all he really has ever known. The laughs, the tender moments, and Smith’s bedroom talk will consume you as you read this beautiful heartfelt story. Every book has been insanely amazing and one of my favorite hockey series and this one is the icing on the cake. Smith took that number one spot and Miller that dude makes me laugh and I know when we get his story, we are going to see that heart of gold.

~*~ARC Review~*~

Emilia and Smith meet at a bar and have a one night stand but quickly learn that they she now works for his hockey team and stay away from each other until they have to work together a few years later and that spark is still there.

I devoured this one in a day and couldn’t get enough of Smith and Emilia. These two couldn’t fight their feelings for each other and the chemistry between them is red-hot. This is definitely one of Teagan’s hottest books! I always love a grumpy hero and couldn’t fall in love with Smith and Emilia was his perfect match. This series get better with each book and you won’t want to miss Smith and Emilia’s story!
