i will always love this entire series and how much it makes me feel like i’m standing next to Miranda going through everything with her.

Fast paced. Enjoyed the connection between book 1 & 2 in this one.
It was just ok. I was glad that it was told from Miranda's point of view again. Honestly, I just can't stand Alex. He was a jerk in the last book and he was a jerk in this one. I found his know-it-allness very obnoxious. I do like how Pfeffer deals with how much social norms change over the course of a year and how the family deals with these changes, but in general I thought the plot was overwrought and schmaltzy. I really could have stopped after book 1 in this series.
I realized why I liked the first and third book so much better than the second book! Miranda's voice through her journals is fun, clever, interesting and I just really liked her character. The other characters are not true to themselves and it was frustrating to see them doing dumb things that just didn't fit.
This third in the series goes back to Pennsylvania and Miranda's family. Her dad comes back bringing Alex (the main character in the second book), so the books all tie together.
Without Miranda this series would be terrible.

I think the first book was the best-provided the most anticipation-the other two were kinda anticlimatic...
3,5/5

This book is honestly one of the best books i've read in a long time. I loved the main character Miranda, even though i didn't know much about her. I didn't read the first 2 books, but i felt like i didnt need to. this one explains everything i need to know ( from what i've noticed). I loved all the characters except Syl. She was annoying and we all knew she was only married to Matt because of what he provided for her. I think during the end when they started arguing, he finally realized the mistake he made bringing her home. I loved Alex and Hal's faith in God and tomorrows. It warmed my heart. The ending really killed me though: how Miranda gave Julie the pills to make her die in her sleep and how Charlie died trying to save her. Even though Julie was gonna die anyway from the tornado, it wasn't Miranda's place or right to kill her. if only she waited one more day, so Alex could have said goodbye and done it himself.
Even though Miranda said she'll never right another diary again, i really hope the author continues the series in her point of view. I have too many questions for that. Does Alex forgive Miranda for killing his little sister who he spent most of his time protecting? Do they ever get married like they planned? How does Jon feel about loosing his first girlfriend? Does Alex stay with them the whole trip? Does he ever tell his brother Carlos about Julie?
This book deserves way more than 5 stars, because it blew my mind.
