A hilarious comedy in which Jesus and Buddha inexplicably come to Earth and love in Japan. It's chock full of references to Buddhism, Christianity, and Japanese culture, all of which make a for a really unique blend of fantastic comedy and an endearing pair of lead characters.

Admittedly, the humor may not be for everyone: I imagine someone who is quite devout or had a conservative upbringing that still factors into their beliefs.

I think even if you don't have a religious faith, you might find the humor too offbeat. But for me, the humor already worked, and kept me giggling till I closed the cover.

I'm eagerly awaiting volume 2!

Seeking respite from their saintly obligations, Buddha and Jesus enjoy a sabbatical in a shared apartment in modern-day Tokyo. Together the two young, holy men endeavor to enjoy all the city has to offer, navigating shopping malls and festivals, hot springs and local parks. In this lighthearted manga, two saints experience life's joys and struggles that are truly universal.

A slice of life manga about Jesus and Buddha living in modern Japan. That’s all you need to know.

Super hilarious and punny. I loved how they made fun of each other and all the little jokes about the respective religions. Looking forward to volume two.

A lovely slice-of-life where Jesus and Buddha take a gap year from being religious figures. There were a lot of references to the history of their lives and extensive notes explaining them. I had hoped there would be some philosophical discussions but there's not much if at all of that since it is a comedy. There were some parts that were quite funny.

Super cute and witty. Loved the little facts to help catch things one might have missed at the end of each adventure.
