Story 2 ⭐️

Wow

I actually enjoyed the beginning and then it kind of went downhill for me. I couldn’t feel a connection between Luc and Oliver, they barely had any conversations and when they did it was about how Oliver wasn’t being the right kind of gay. That did upset me because what does that even mean?

This book made me passionately dislike Lucien. I hated how he said that nobody should treat Oliver poorly, yet he was the first one to make him feel bad about himself. Just because he didn’t like the same things Luc did, it didn’t mean Oliver was the wrong kind of gay. There is no wrong kind! The fact that Oliver started questioning himself was so upsetting. Anyone can be whatever they want, however they want. Nobody has the right to tell you how to act.

Yet I still gave it the benefit of the doubt thinking, there will be a resolution and he’s going to realize he’s being annoying and an idiot. Nope.
After everything this book put me through, that was the ending? It did surprise me, I’ll give it that.

This book was definitely not for me, it did have good moments and it was really funny. Just some part of the story were not what I was expecting or enjoyable for me.

I hate to say this because I loved Boyfriend Material.

While the first book was messy in a fun sense, this book was messy in a bad one.

The drama mainly from characters just blowing everything out of proportion, and altogether too much "but I don't know WHAT I'm thinking or want" for people in their 30s. That said I did laugh quite a bit at the
scene where Luc's Mom pretends she knew they were engaged long before they showed up on her doorstep
and also I will admit the resolution was good for all that the agonizing drove me bananas.
