Warrick just gave me a massive ick three times in a row. The way he talked was just so possessive and perverted. It was cute at first but within the final pages before his first chapter and the first page of his chapter I just had to put it down disgusted.
If this is your cup of tea go for it! It has witches which is cool. I found willows POV to be really good just warrick was just an ick.

I liked the community of supernaturals in this book and the sisterly bound. The love story was good too with an MMC who protects not only his woman but her family as well and asked his maker for their immortality. This was darker than I typically read and Willow (FMC) has to go through some serious pain and emotional trauma, but worth it. Looking forward to reading the second.

A Curse in Darkness is the first book in The Thornheart Trial series and I am already absolutely obsessed!! I love Willow and Warrick so much. There were several times when I was screaming at Willow just give in already and what is wrong with you?! Oh boy let me tell you that when Warrick growls it feels like pure magic. I really want to see more of the hellhounds because they are intriguing and hot af. Bring on the next book!!

I don't even know where to start with my review. I could have read this book easily in a day if my regular life didn't need tending to. This book consumed my every thought. I could hardly put it down. You can't help but block out everything going on around you because there is so much going on in this mesmerizing story. Sherilee Gray has created such an amazing world with so many different creatures and magic, both good and evil. This was my first read of hers but most definitely not my last.
I loved how strong and fierce Willow was. She's so protective of her family and those she loves. She faces her fears and challenges head on and takes no crap from anyone. Warrick was seriously amazing. Most definitely protective and blunt in his pursuit of his mate, his Dove, Willow. I loved watching their relationship grow. There is so much that happens between Willow and Warrick, but also just in Willow's life as a witch. She has tasks and trials she needs to complete, while also fighting her growing feelings for the hellhound alpha, Warrick. Not to mention the loose evil spirits possessing hellhounds and her familiar, Ren. Although there is so much more to this spellbinding story, I don't want to give too much away! Go and read this book! NOW! You won't be sorry!
