Good biography of the life of Elizabeth Taylor.  Covers all her marriages as well as some movies and some relationships with friends.  Nice section on all the work she did for raising funds for AIDS research when it was definitely not the thing to do.  I learn from this book that her last companion was Colin Farrel, which I did not remember.  Recommended read.

Taylor led a fascinating life, from her birth in England and escape during World War II to landing in pictures at MGM. A star by age 12, Elizabeth never faded in the public’s eye, and used her fame to her best advantage. And despite her incredible beauty, let’s not forget that she was also very talented at what she did!

The author had access and was granted interviews with children, grandchildren, friends, former husbands, and staff. What results is the most comprehensive looks at one of Hollywood’s most famous, infamous, and talented personalities of the 20th century.

Solid bio. Not purely chronological, chapters divided by topic - good coverage of her addictions and pioneering work with HIV/AIDS. Very enjoyable read.

One of the most loving and intimate portraits of the late great star that I have ever read. She left behind a legacy of love and bravery that none can ignore. I will say the one flaw with this book is that it doesn't go as in-depth on certain relationships as much as I would like, but if you want a book that is super honed in on her relationships check out "Furious Love"! Otherwise, great!
