Did I just read a forbidden, Alabama-style step-sister romance and fucking enjoy it? Yes. Yes I did. Those spicy scenes were intense. That miscommunication trope though had me literally wanting to strangle BOTH of them.

3.25 stars ✨ I was a little underwhelmed with this book, and the premise sounded really good. The thing they put me off was that they had been siblings (step) since they were young, it wasn’t a recent thing and that made me a little uncomfy. It would’ve probably worked better if they were a little younger too but that wouldn’t have worked with Sloan’s job. I appreciated the open discussions around NSFW topics. Honestly, my main problem with this romance was that there was a serious lack of chemistry. Even though romance had technically been building virtually their whole life, it just felt rushed 🤷‍♀️
