This was my first Hattie Jacks book, and what a wild ride it was! I'm a sucker for fated mates, and this book does that very well. The smut scenes are well written and the relationship is super sweet. I love a cinnamon roll MMC who is gruff to everyone else. Looking forward to reading the rest of the Starlight series!!

Fun, Flirty, and Royal.

On a Star ship after the death of Earth Ginny is a “mud lark”, cleaning filthy air filters. Until she stumbles upon a secret about her boss and has to enroll in the Starlight Lottery.
On Xnos Asteron seeks to solidify his rule after the death of his father, a less than trustworthy king. In order to do this he must seek a Starlight Bride and get an heir quick.

Following their marriage these two sweet grumps build a relationship and, hopefully, a family. All this while navigating miscommunication and the tense political environment on Xnos.

This book was a fun all vibes no thoughts read. Perfect for someone looking for a sexy fun read to unwind with. With two grumpy cinnamon rolls who are each fun to see grow on page.
