This one was a big smut > plot and I definitely don’t mind them, love them even. However, I need something else to balance it out when it is not a short novella. Being close to 200 pages, I would have loved to see a real connection between Asterion and Ginny beyond the physical. He confessed his love very fast and I did not believe it at all as he used the fated bond to justify it. In my eyes, that king was in lust and not in love.

Over all I really enjoyed the story, but felt I was wholly thrown into the middle of it without much back story. The romance between the two MCs was very instalovey, but I really enjoyed the bride raffle and wish there was more information on that. 3.5 stars.

If you are looking for a quick and fun low stakes alien romance with lots of spice then this is for you. For me this is a perfect read to break a reading slump, or perfect you want something cute & spicy and not angsty.

This story leans hard into the physical and everything else is far behind. Ginny is fleeing the consequences of someone else’s bad decisions and Asteron needs a bride. The two are brought together by these needs and the bride lottery. Told from dual POV, there’s a bit of a plot behind the two mains getting busy but it’s not the main focus.

First Minotaur’s romance and one thing is sure this one was truly steamy !!!
I loved the concept of the Starlight Lottery thing, even if Ginny was quite surprised by the job she received. Asteron is just intense and so protective, it was cute to see him open up and let himself feel for Ginny. I had a good time reading it and I’m really excited for the rest of the series ! The world building is amazing and it was all the trope that I like.
