I'd read this once before, when I was a nanny. Now that I'm reading to be son. I thought it would be a good book for an infant because of the bright colors. And it sure got his attention!

The rhyming scheme is easy to read aloud and fairly memorable, so any parents who end up reading it regularly will likely have it memorized by the time their child has outgrown the story! A very good book for reading aloud at bedtime, as long as the reader doesn't get too animated with all the sheep that they find on their way to finding the green sheep!

Jake's Review: Mom says she used to read this to me all the time as a kid, but I don't really remember. The pictures are really bright and funny and I like the rhyme. This is one that I think Jesse will like because it is simple to read and he's not really good at reading.

Jake's Rating: 8/10

Mom's Review: My buddy Carianne lent this one to me a long time ago because the night she babysat Jake, he made her read it over and over and over again. He loved it so much that I had to go out and buy my own copy of it because I was worried it would fall apart from overuse. The delightfully silly artwork is worth the price of the book alone. This is a lovely board book for just reading to a young child and also for the the child beginning to read on their own. For younger readers it nicely and simply introduces concepts like opposites and colours (Dear spell-check I am Canadian this is how we spell it - stop telling me I am spelling it wrong) I - all done in a fun quirky manner. A fabulous book for story-time -- and I can attest great for establishing a bedtime ritual -- I can still recite it word for word.

Mom's Rating: 9/10

When I first read this I wasn't impressed by its extreme simplicity.
However, ours came with a green sheep plush doll and the little one would ask to have the book read and then try to 'find' the stuffed green sheep - needless to say this has become the most requested book so for that reason I have given it 4 stars. Having the accompanying green sheep doll turns this book into a fun game.

The sheep in this book are SO CUTE. My favorite bit was the thin sheep and the wide sheep playing on the teeter totter. Awesome!
