The hype was well-deserved. Normally, I’m not a fan of books that shift between past and present timelines. However, this book takes a unique approach: it jumps between different moments in the present, while exploring the past for one character. It might sound a bit confusing, but I absolutely loved it!

The vivid descriptions of the food, the cozy apartment, and the aunt’s personality made me feel like I was living in the story. The way the character’s love for Van Gogh and the MET was portrayed was perfect. It’s an excellent book to kick off the new year.

It also raises thought-provoking questions: If given a choice, would you choose the past or the present? Would you stay in a stagnant career or take a leap of faith?

This book gave me hope for the upcoming spring and helped me shake off the post-holiday blues. Chase the moon and book that trip! Highly recommend!

A bit saccharine, a bit sad, but sweet all the same

I’m glad the book wasn’t all set with her meeting the past version of him. I kept picturing him as Jeremy Allen white because of the bear lol

after chapter 10 it turns into such a page turner! the connections from previous chapters were my favorite part. time traveling books aren’t really my fav cause the writing kinda makes it hard for me to follow along but i was able to get back on track pretty easily.
