This collection of short essays about experiences of being bisexual - including biphobia, bi erasure, the increased mental health and burden of violence faced by bisexuals, and its intersection with racism and other prejudice - is brilliant. And it’s not all about the bad things!

So many authentic, beautifully expressed stories and perspectives of bisexual people. Bisexual or not, you should read it.

I am delighted there’s a second volume.

Bisexuals make up the largest percentage of the LGBTQ+ community but their voices are often missing from queer discourse. The Bi-Bible attempts to address that with essays from different people across the bi+ community looking at a huge variety of topics. Discussions around mental health and suicide (bisexuals are twice as likely as gay and lesbians and four times as likely as heterosexuals to have attempted suicide). Sexual assault and abuse (again bisexuals are at higher risk of both than homo or heterosexuals). Intersections between bi+ identities and being black, disabled, non binary etc. Invisibility and erasure but also the joy and hope in finding community, representation and acceptance, love, pleasure and pride.

An important book which celebrates and highlights the voices of a marginalised and often invisible identity.

It is very difficult for me to express how important this book was for me to read right at this very moment. I have struggled so hard with my own sexual identity, and I only really am "out" in very small ways in mentions in these reviews or off-hand to friends. It is like I am continuously testing the water to see if there will be a safe place to really be honest or to fully explore my own identity. Each of these essays was INTENSELY relatable to me. I picked up this book this morning thinking I would just get started and I literally did not put it down until I had turned the last page. I just want to thank every single person who put it together.
