This book led me to start reading Albert Camus and it was such a good decision.

Very difficult book to give any star ratings. I hated and loved it at the same time. A very different perspective from what we are used to or expect from others. This is not what I mean by 'living in the moment' but it made me see it in a new way.

First of all, this is the first book I've read in French and I'm so proud of myself :D I decided in September that I should read a book in French, and it took me till now to finish it. I read a few chapters in September, stopped, and then for the last week or two I have taken coffee in the morning and read one chapter. I don't understand all the words, I look up the ones that I think are important and then when I'm finished I read the summary on Sparknotes so that I know I haven't missed anything too important and it was fun! I definitely want to read more French literature next year, and this book wasn't terribly hard because there was no weird literature tenses lol

And now the actual story... The story was so great, I got to enjoy it so much, and I loved reading about the themes and context and Camus' philosophy is so interesting, how everything was about how society tries to make sense of random events... I loved it. It was very enjoyable to read and I definitely want to read more Camus!!!!
