I could not love this whole series more! The world-building was seamless throughout all three books, and the author filled out all the characters phenomenally! Each book felt like sitting down around a cup of tea and catching up with old friends. It was truly a delight to grow with the characters as well, learning and evolving compassion where there previously was none and respect and strength where needed. The only possible fault was that I'm selfish and I want MORE of their story!!!! All of them!!! I want to know what else is in the wilds and follow the next generations as well!! We need at least 3 more books in this series!

Flipping hell that was a rollercoaster!
I spent the first 3/4 of the book wanting to throw my kindle across the room. Norah was driving me mad with everything she was doing in the name of grief (can’t say more because big old spoiler). I know she was just clutching on to hope but, come on woman! You’re smarter than this!
And it frustrated me no end that it took so long for anyone to question the involvement of a certain person. Again, can’t say more because spoiler…and I’m sure there are those that might think that sentence in itself was a spoiler but…I think we’re good?
Anywho, that whole chunk of the book triggered my shouting-at-kindle emotions. To the point where Mikael and Soren were the levelheaded, forgiving characters. Yup!
There were some beautifully happy parts, a good dose of action, and some incredibly sad and painful moments too. Full on lump in throat, tears in eyes going on.
It was an incredible end to the trilogy, and even more impressive that this trilogy is Tyche’s debut.
I look forward to seeing what else she writes!

“If someone wants my crown, they’ll have to pry it from my dead fingers, if they still have a head to wear it.” ⚔️
I have thought about this series every single day since finishing War Queen. I tried my my very best not to rush through this last book because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to this world and these characters, but towards the end I just couldn’t put it down.
“I’ll never leave you. If I should go anywhere, I only go to our eternal bed. And when you’re tired of this world and ready for sleep, I’ll be waiting.”
I mean COME ON. Are you kidding me?! 🥹
I thought this might be an ‘everyone gets a happily ever after’ series, but I was absolutely gutted within the first hundred pages. Did I find Norah annoying for a lot of the book? Yes. Did she redeem herself by the end? Absolutely, yes!
While I loved so much about this book, Soren was the star of the show for me. I would have never thought I’d come around to even liking him let alone adoring him, but my god is he a special character. 💗
This is a complete trilogy, but Nicola Tyche recently teased a fourth book and I am UNWELL. I need it. I need it now!
