That was…not good. I love TJR’s books but this one really did not do it for me. The writing was extremely unrealistic and cringy. I didn’t love or even like any of the main characters and I found many plot points to be poorly placed, unnecessary or just the wrong choice. Specifically: I believe Vanessa should have died! Hot take but they set it up so perfectly that she would and it made sense but I got the sense that TJR was just scared of what would happen if a main character died.

joan knew she felt less buzz because she also felt no fear. there could be no danger between them when they made each other this safe.
Obwohl das Buch viele starke Momente hat, bleibt es für mich insgesamt hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Ja, die Liebesgeschichte zwischen Joan und Vanessa ist bewegend. Aber nach einem packenden Einstieg verliert das Buch schnell an Tempo und der Mittelteil zieht sich. Obwohl TJR für ihren starken Schreibstil bekannt ist, wirkt er in diesem Buch oft unnatürlich. Die Nebenfiguren des NASA-Teams waren für mich bis 2/3 des Buches kaum auseinander zu halten. Schade, ich wollte dieses Buch wirklich lieben.
