This was... fine. It was suspenseful to a point, and the unreliable narrators made it a bit more intriguing, but overall I wasn't captivated by it.
Once again I liked the writing better than I liked the story, which was a bit dark for me. At the end I was half inclined to go back and read around particular clues to see whether I had missed things...but only half inclined because of a stronger desire to just be done with that character's world. I'm not really a cozy mystery person, but I kind of wish we could take a cozy author and Swanson, add them together and divide by two to come up with the 'just right' level of danger.
