Oh gosh I really did not enjoy this book! I was so close to DNFing at many points but I felt I had to finish it and needed to know what happened to Rachel and then I had to read the rest as it was only a few more pages but I sort of forced myself to!

I can see why this may be popular amongst a younger audience/ tiktokers and I may have enjoyed it somewhat more in my late teens/early twenties but as a 30 year old who mostly enjoys thrillers and literature fiction I just found it wayy too unrealistic and cringe! The lines the characters said were very cringe and movie-like and I just much more lean towards realistic plots and dialogue, unless i'm reading fantasy. I felt like mixing the sex elements with the underlying story did not work well at all and it made the book such a drag. It was like CoHo was trying to make two differemt worlds work. Also I don't mind sex scenes but these were way too cringe and brought the prude out in me!

I was debating whether to give this a 1 star or 2 but for some reason settled on 2 - I think I appreciated some of the other characters like Cap and maybe Corbin (although him being an over protective adult brother over his adult sister for no apparent reason was questionable....does any adult sibling behave this way?! Miles isn't even a shady bad guy so wth Corbin?! Grown ups accept things like this)...anyway I digress...I still liked seeing the male friendships and the interactions with Cap and partocularly liked that end scene with Miles taking Cap and Tate on that sunrise plane ride.

CoHo seems to have a mixed bag of books as have enjoyed 2 of her other works previously but after reading this I think I will have to donate this and Layla (even though have not read it but get similar vibes so don't really want to waste my time). Its just wrong timing for me to be reading these!

Overall just not my cup of tea and need to rinse it out with a much better read as soon as I can!

This is my first Colleen Hoover book and I loved every freakin minute of it. Ugh Tate and Miles and the whole story are just to good for words. I highly recommend
