If you're familiar with John Water's work, you know what to expect. There were some chapters that were better than others, but really, how do you critique the King of Filth?!

I especially recommend the audio book, as he narrates it himself, which definitely enhances the experience!

A little boring. I loved reading about his films. Once he stopped talking about his films, it was just like over the top film pitches or a stand up routine or various topics.

This is best enjoyed as an audiobook. IF you are a fan you will enjoy Waters' bits of life advice and interesting stories about his films.

An enjoyable walk through the making of many of his films, his experiments with drugs, his journey through counterculture, and his insight into American society. I'd love to go to one of his live shows and hear his stories, he's got plenty of them.
