Not my favorite in the Ender's series. I have enjoyed some of the short stories Card has written, but this one just felt like filler.

If you are a fan of the Ender series, then you are probably already drooling seeing this new book featuring Ender in Battle School. Card delivers an enjoyable story with some familiar faces and themes that always seem to hit harder because they are represented using children. It is missing most of the action of Ender's Game, but it contains Card's trademark internal dialog which helps you understand the character's motivations probably better than you understand your own motivations for doing what you do.

I wouldn't have paid $14 for this short story, but Card sure knows his characters. A fun little diversion from my troubles on Wednesday.

It was a pretty good little book. It takes place In the middle of Ender's Game, during Christmas time at the Battle School. It definitely didn't change my life or anything, but it's a nice addition to the Ender's Game series.

Fun read for break time at work. Nothing that is going to linger with me though.

If you’re a fan of the Ender universe this is a great little addition by Card in the form of a short story that continues to remind us of the tragedy of children at war and the hope that can be found when they fight for one another. It’s a simple yet profound story that no doubt has its roots in the fundamental legalistic religion of the old mountain towns of the Carolina’s where Card is from. I hope Card will return and introduce us to more short stories of the many years of battle school!

Excellent little book that can be read in one sitting. It's Easter and I read a Christmas-time story. It applies any time.

As always I applaud Orson Scott Card. Even his short stories are fantastic.
