Hailey is 29 years old, a social influencer and life coach who is helped along by her psychic ability. Warren, who went to high school with Hailey, is a former pro athlete turned high school football coach. They have an antagonistic relationship stemming from a past psychic incident between Hailey and Warren, as well as Hailey's role in breaking up her ex-boyfriend's (and his best friend's) wedding. I think the book description covers things pretty well, so I won't rehash things too much. This book has an interesting concept, channeling one's psychic powers into life coaching. And we see a lot of inner conflict as Hailey struggles to help those around her in a way they'll accept, all without exposing her secret. I just felt like the main source of tension (stopping Liam's wedding to avert potential future disaster) was just kind of 'meh.' I liked the premise but the execution felt superficial. And although Hailey's intentions were good, her actions were manipulative and I had a hard time warming up to her. In fact, I had a hard time caring about these two together, and I wasn't really invested. They're technically enemies to lovers, and there was growing physical attraction but it doesn't feel like enough to want them to be together. The high school connection and their mutual friendship with Liam seems tenuous upon which to base a relationship, and it didn't seem like they tried too hard to get to know one another before they headed to the open-door sexy times. Things just seemed to happen to move them along without a lot of interpersonal growth. There is a dual 1st person POV, which normally I prefer but it wasn't labeled in the ARC when switching back and forth between their viewpoints within each chapter. This was a bit confusing/distracting to follow, so hopefully this is fixed before publication. Overall this book seemed like it would be my cup of tea, and I was invested enough to keep reading, but ultimately I don't think it was the book for me. The story didn't move as fast as I would have liked, it drags but picks up towards the end. Ultimately an HEA and Hailey appears to have grown and understood herself better, but it was a slog to get there. Thank you to NetGalley for providing an eARC of this story, this was my objective review. Publishes 9-17-24.

Quick Take:
All Signs Point to Malibu is a fun, feel-good story with a speculative twist. If you're looking for a lighthearted romantic comedy with a touch of mysticism, this might be the book for you.

3.75 for me. I thought this was a really cute. I think the idea was a fun one and it was for the most part an enjoyable read.
What I liked:
-the tension between Hailey and warren. so many times, I was just kiss each other already! In a fun way because any moment where they almost kiss gets interrupted.
-I liked the antics that they were getting into.
-I liked how these two actually care about the people in their lives. Warren with the kids he coaches such as with Marcus and how he wants to do right by him but doesn't want to be like his father. Hailey who yes has a social media lifestyle and seems superficial but truly just wants to see her people successful but starts to struggle with the idea that success doesn't always mean happy, and she worries if she is truly helping people.
-I liked how it ended and there was even a moment where I get choked up
Personal annoyance
-I am the type of person who believes you can only lead a horse to water you can't make it drink and sometimes as long as no one is in true physical or mental harm you have to let them make mistakes. So, while I think the whole premise of this book of trying to stop your old boyfriend from making a mistake because it will result in a divorce or unhappiness later in his life was cute. I did eventually as I was reading it get a little irked because yes, these two are really rushing things and aren't talking about things and are not setting themselves up for success as a married couple so all you can do as a friend is voice your concern and then you have to let them make their own mistake.
In the end this was a fun and cute read and I did like Hailey and Warren together.
This book is about Hailey who has a unique gift of seeing the potential futures of those she touches the lifelines on their hand with hers. She has been able to turn this into a successful business of being a life coach. A lonely one but still a successful one. Then one day following an earthquake tremor where there is some damage to her pool. So, she calls the man who while he is the father of her ex has because a stable influence in her life. So, when she opens her door expecting the older man, she is surprised to see her ex standing there wanting to check out her pool's damage. But opening seeing him on her doorstep also opened the door to old feelings that make her wonder if this a sign for a potential 2nd chance at love with him. That is until his fiancé comes out of the car... Rethinking the possibility of a second chance she decides to check his future something she has never been able to do before due their relationship. So, when she sees heartbreak in his future, divorce and possibly career failure she decides that she needs to break up this couple and prevent the marriage that will only end in doom and what better way that to do that than to "help" plan and host their engagement party. However, her plans keep getting wrecked by the best man her nemeses Warren who they have a shared and bumpy past to say the least and he seems very suspicions of her motivations for helping out her ex. But as they are forced to work together, they start to see new sides to each other, and she starts to wonder what his future could possible hold?
I recieved an ARC copy from netgalley and HTP in exchange for an honest review.

TO MALIBU
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Author: Jennifer Snow
Publisher: Canary Street Press
A huge Thank You to @booksparks and
@jensnowauthor for the gifted copy of this adorable
book.
What a fun romance this was. Hailey is a Life Coach
who also happens to be able to see a bit of the future.
Her ex-Liam is getting married and she has a vision
of his unhappy future. She now needs to try to
sabotage the wedding. Liam’s best friend in Warren.
Warren and Hailey do not like each other after Hailey
ruined his career due to a vision. She is the maid of
honor at the wedding and Warren is the best man. She
tells Warren about the vision and reluctantly he agrees
to help her to stop the wedding. The banter between
Hailey and Warren is fabulous. These two start to
become closer as they work on this project. The
sexual tension is perfect and those antics they get into
is marvelous. I loved the them in this book that the
reader learns just as Hailey does that success doesn’t
always mean happiness.
I enjoyed how this book ended but it did seem like it
was a little rushed. What I did like is both main
characters are secure financally and this romance is no
based money but really on feelings.
I so enjoyed this book and look forward to reading
more from this author.

I wanted to like this but alas the second half was just soooo lackluster. A good example of losing the plot.
