a little disappointed that i didn't enjoy this as much as i did human acts but han kang's writing is beautiful even when i cannot for the life of me decipher what exactly she's trying to convey.

The beginning was interesting - and I mean the beginning of the story of Unhyong. The middle and the ending failed me.
This book was very inconherent and in conclussion it made no sense to me.
What didn‘t make sense; 1. The prolouge: in the epilogue it‘s very clear that this character, the authour, is of no importance at all. Why? This character didn‘t add anything to the storyline. 2. Unhyong and E.: Unhyong wants to find E.s secret and doesn‘t respect her privacy and does disturb her privacy and in this book it is acted like it was normal… then U. Finds out that E. Had six fingers before, and this U. Doesn‘t find out when he always looks at the hands first? E. Is very sensitive and insecure about her having had six fingers that it gets unreal… There is more but the main things that didn‘t make sense to me.

Read it, in 2 days and couldn't put it done (except that I had to sleep). The world needs more books like this.
