In true Elin Fashion, the characters and setting were described so perfectly I felt like I was the 6th star! Each woman's story was so captivating and the ending was wonderful! This book was different from her past books, with a twist that was not expected!

A surprisingly good read about ordinary people and ordinary friends. It’s about love, friends, relationships, motivations, regrets and awakenings. Best of all it was a realistic story about friendship. This is my first read by Elin Hilderbrand. I enjoyed it. Will read more of this author.
Yay for books about girlhood and finding yourself in your 40s!!!
This will not be my last Hilderbrand! While it had a slow start, I enjoyed the writing style, the beautiful setting, & the characters! All of the characters were wonderfully unique and so well developed, and I deeply resonated with two of them in very different ways (Tatum & Brooke) (justice for Brooke, btw). The short chapters and 3rd person omniscient pov worked surprisingly well and made this such a quick read for me.
I was left wanting more, especially in terms of the mother-daughter relationship. I also wish we got more from the protagonist at the end. It seems like halfway through, it became an ensemble cast and I just wish we got a bit more closure from the original MC. I would've loved to read her weekend recap blog post.... Anyways, this was a fun summer read!
