This book had a really cool plot! I thought it was really interesting to match people through science and DNA, and even though I don’t understand practically anything about science, it intrigued me. The characters were cute, and although you knew there was going to be the eventual necessary romance novel roadblock, it was kind of surprising! I had guessed what the conflict was going to be, but it still ended up surprising me. The smut wasn’t very detailed and left me wanting for more, but the writing and characters made up for it.

*spoilers*

I loved this book. I don't know what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't two socially awkwar STEM nerds trying to figure out how to navigate a relationship.

I will say that the sexual tension was more sexuak than the actual set scenes, which I found absolutely hilarious.

Overall a great read, especially for gushing romantics.

I regret taking so long to read this book! I couldn’t put it down, my favorite Christina Lauren read to date! The chemistry between Jess and River was *chef’s kiss* Obsessed with Jess’s BFF Fizzy, can she be my friend? Would love to read a book with a character like her as the main character. I think the storyline with Jess’s mom could have benefitted from some nuance as addiction is very complicated (which prevents me from giving it 5 stars). Overall, this story is fun and will have you thinking about what makes someone a soulmate (and how will you find them!).

I absolutely loved this book. I picked it up because I enjoyed the unhoneymooners and wanted to give Christina Laurens other books a try and this one was the best one I’ve read of hers. The characters were incredible and had such depth to them. They had real problems, and the romance was deepened by their mutual support of each other. I’m a total science nerd too so of course the premise appealed to me, but I also feel like the science didn’t overtake the book. Also juno and rivers relationship has my whole heart.

I thought this book was delightful. A decent amount of angst, but not for frustrating reasons. This is my first Christina Lauren book and it definitely makes me want to read another when I’m in the mood for a sweet romance again. This couple was heart meltingly adorable.

My one  quibble is—and I’m not sure how to phrase this without sounding like a perv, hahaha—is that I thought there’d be more sex. It was more fade to black than spicy.
It was just one scene and the actions were more alluded to than outright written—which is totally fine!
Just set your expectations before going in.
