I love Eve, period!!!!
emotional informative reflective medium-paced

I was only left wanting for some more details of certain stories, and stories that were the backdrop to some of her songs.

Loved that she narrated!

Sooooo I used to think I was Eve so I HAD to read this!! I enjoyed the simplicity of her memoir but also the openness and authenticity. We know more than we probably care to about celebrities, but I enjoy when they tell their story from their point of view.

As a fan of Eve’s music and overall career, I was excited to read her memoir. It did not disappoint. It was great to reminisce on the things I knew and to hear about the other things I’d never known about her. As well, I enjoyed all of the references to those who played major roles in her life. The memoir was well written and well put together, and I appreciated what she shared, as well as her transparency.

And as I always say, I love a memoir that reads and narrates as if the author is having a conversation with me.

Interesting. Written as chapters of stories versus chronological order.

Eve is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and actress. I'm a huge fan which is why I was super excited to read her memoir. I enjoyed the hip hop history and liked and the way she shared her story. It's pretty direct and straightforward. Loved her growth and introspection. However I feel like this memoir was pretty surface level. There wasn't anything we haven't seen online, read in magazines, news articles or heard in interviews before.
