This was aight. Eve didn't give us enough it feels like, but it was great to hear more about her story overall. Now I'm going to have to listen to all her music!

I was hoping to get more out of this than I did. While it was interesting to hear about Eve’s rise, especially in a time where women weren’t often afforded the opportunities she was. But a lot of this memoir came off like a name drop and underdeveloped. It was too short to truly dive into the interesting aspects and too detailed to be cohesive. I’m also unsure if it was because she read it that it felt very casual, but the writing was not what I was expecting either. If you’re a fan, I’m sure a lot of this will be familiar and I don’t necessarily recommend.

This was a very good memoir. Straight to the point and you get a full depiction of her life. I liked that it felt real and not alot beating around the bush. Eve is a good depiction of never giving up, rebranding and maturing. This is in my top 10 reads for the year.
