Simple, straightforward, and great at making the point that, well, it's not rocket surgery. Good to have this confirmation that it's not that I'm missing something, it just really is that simple.

Quick, helpful read around fast Usability Testing for the non-research professional. If you've read articles and books on actually conducting tests previously, there will be some repetition. I did enjoy the chapters on why doing quick and dirty testing is better than not doing any as well as identifying what to fix and focusing on tweaks vs. full-blown redesigns.

I think this book should be handed out to anyone who is in the process of having a site built for them, is embedded within a particular part of a website making updates, or who works with client-facing technology at all. The info discussed is basic to me, but it's very accessible and convincing for those who didn't spend 2 years studying this stuff.

I had to read this for a college design course, and I liked Steve Krug's colloquial style of writing. It helped make it a more enjoyable required reading, but I would never have picked it up on my own otherwise.

A very simple guide to usability testing that helps you discover usability issues to fix. It has easy-to-understand and sound advice, also recommendations to relevant readings.

So simple and direct - this book is great! I've done usability tests many times before, but I don't do them all that frequently. This book is like a simple cookbook that will remind me of all the important little things I need to do or consider when I do these test. It will be a handy reference for me! Plus, Steve Krug is funny, which is part of what makes his book is a pleasure to read.
