So good. So sad that this wasn't able to be completed. Fuck DC for fucking this up.

Holy cliff hanger Batman! But that's what happens when the creative team walks out in the middle of a story arc.

Ends in the middle of the story, due to both creators leaving the book because of editorial interference. They eventually wrap up the story in an Annual, but it’s a little rushed and paint by numbers. I wish we’d gotten those last two issues from the team.

Very good continuation. Since the start of this series, there's always been a bit of Batman/Batwoman conflict, and seeing that brought to the fore is quite fascinating. It's also good to see her "scoobies" get sick of being kept out of things and tell her so. It's unclear yet if a certain sideplot is behind her back or not. Have to read the next one and find out. [I'd be more annoyed by this if I'd finished this before the next volume was out]

There's also a quite interesting Killer Croc segment, that connects only indirectly to the current storyline. Getting Croc's POV is fascinating.

I’ve been reading The four volumes of Batwoman pretty fast in the last couple of days & I honestly didn’t want to write a review for each one. So I’ll just go out with this series is by far the best of the “New 52” titles. The creative team was consistent in its story telling & the art was mostly beautiful (not a fan of Trevor McCarthy). The only hang up is that the volume I’m reading ended rather abruptly with Batman & Batwoman still duking it out.

I sometimes get confused between Beth and Bette when I'm reading all quicklike. But I like that we're seeing things from Hawkfire's point of view now. I don't know much about Batwoman and Batman's history, all I know is what they've alluded to in these comics, but I feel like it's kind of a dick move to be trapping Batman, even for Kate. But I'm glad Maggie finally knows, even though surely that won't end well, it never does in stories like this.

The conclusion to J.H. Williams III and W. Hadan Blackman's run on Batwoman is one of the best I'd read so far, which makes it's lack of a conclusion devastating. I still give it 5 stars because it was an amazing read which kept my attention throughout the entire thing.

The relationship between Batwoman and her family, the D.E.O and her Fiance in combination with the beautifully dark artwork creates just the right balance of atmosphere, banter and feelings. Again, the only problem is that the arc does not have a conclusion. In order to find the ending, you must read Batwoman Annual #1, which is a rushed attempt to close one of the best chapters of Batwoman's history. I only wish that DC had not cut the original 2 ending issues of this arc but alas, nothing can be done now. Pick this up regardless, as it was truly worth it even with a major cliffhanger of an ending.

4.5 stars for me! Again, a riveting, exciting, action-packed continuation of the previous volumes. Inclusion of Bat-villains like Bane and Killer Croc was really nice, especially Croc's aside. The ending is a complete cliffhanger & I need Vol. 5 in my life like right meow.
