Dnf at 250. I didnt like the first book but thought I’d give this a chance. It was awful. I rarely dnf a book even when i dont like it but this felt like a waste of my time since i was taking so long to read it.

Very nice mix of Cinderella and Eros and Psyche, but allows the FMC to have her adventure with the prince, rather than alone to meet the prince at the end. The surprise at the end was pretty clear to me from the beginning, but I still enjoyed the journey to get there!

I was surprised with how much I liked this book. I kind of knew what to expect after reading A Deal with the Elf King but this story was different & pretty good. It started off a little weird but I liked the character development of both Davien and Katria, the progression of their relationship and the world building of the "wild" Fae. They had a bit of a tumultuous start but I enjoyed watching their relationship turn into friendship and then into love. I especially love how absolutely devoted and protective Davien became over Katria. The ending was pretty good, even though I guessed what would happen, and I liked the brief little crossover. I just wish that we would get a little more of their relationship in the form of at least one other book for this couple (and same for A Deal with the Elf King), but still, I really liked this book!

Katria is annoying as heck and the main plot twist was a little obvious but overall a good read.

Besides the mermaid one in the series, this is one of my favorites. It is a twist on Cinderella. And I just loved it even if I did see the ending coming. Also maybe it is just because I love butterflies but if my husband had those wings...<3

It’s upsetting to me that this book isn’t talked about enough.

Has a beauty and the beast feel with a Cinderella stepmother, but then if goes off the rails into something new.
