Yes, I'm counting short stories toward my reading challenge, because it is December and I have ten books left to read.

(The story was, unfortunately, not very creepy or otherwise captivating.)

When a family acquires a mystical monkey's paw that grants three wishes, they soon discover the unexpected and sinister consequences that come with it.

Be careful what you wish for. An atmospheric horror story that explores the co sequences of tampering with fate and builds suspense.

A creepy little story with a heavy reminder to be careful what you wish for! My daughter and I listened to the audiobook on Libby and it's quick and wonderful. Worth the 21 minutes to listen!

Tragic, but not really scary.
