I really love reading books with elderly protagonists and the ones in this book are just charming. They all felt very real and I want to have tea and cake with them all.

I have a couple of small issues though. One being the sheer number of characters to keep straight in my head. It was a lot and some of the side characters weren't exactly fleshed out enough to be memorable; which is understandable but frustrating nonetheless. The other slight negative was the big reveal. It felt a bit anticlimactic when it came, even if I couldn't call it.

I had fun with it though and Lesley Manville does a bang up job of narrating the audiobook. I'll definitely carry on the series.

I really enjoyed this! I recommended it to two people before I even finished because it gives off "Only Murders in the Building" vibes. Definitely going to continue the series.

Loved the ending of this book but really struggled to get into the begining with the absolute massive array of characters. Loved that I couldn't pick who the killer was and was shocked when it was revealed! Funny how the characters get away with so much though.
