Really enjoyed but
I think Cassandra Clare actively punishes women in her books who don’t want to be extraordinary. Jessamine is presented as foolish and weak because she wants love. Like yes Nate is terrible, but I find her treatment quite brutal.

The author did a great job at pulling at your heart strings and it definitely made me want to crash out a couple times. But the romance in this book was top tier in my opinion
The ending was not okay in the best way. I wanted to pick up the next book right away, leaving no time between books, but sadly I did not have it there waiting for the second I finished "Clockwork Prince".
