Ahhhh...absolutely loved it! I never thought that I would like the shadowhunter world as much as I do now.
Even though I loved the first book and didn't have a lot of expectations for this one but after finishing it I realized that even if I had I'd love the book anyway.
I thought Clockwork Prince wasn't as action packed as Clockwork Angel but the character development made up for the lack of action, special in the first half of the book. Also the end of the book (last couple of chapters) was heart breaking :(
The character that really stood out for me was Magnus, he was absolutely amazing, he is one of my favoutite characters in TMI but this book made me love him even more! Will was another character that stood out a lot in this book, we finally know what's going on him him and why he pushes people back all the time and even though I don't really like it is impossible not to feel bad for him at the end of the book :(
In conclusion I loved the book, the story line, the characters, everything, there was only a couple things that I was alble to predict and parts were there was not a lot going on but besides that I relly enjoyed the book and can't wait for Clockwork Princess :D

Look, even I'm surprised by this. First and foremost, this is a love story I don't think it's necessarily supposed to be, and while the fantasy is still solid be it's built on the existing Shadow World, the primary plot is the sweetest friendship between Will and Jem and their love triangle w/ Tessa which is also sweet somehow. THEY'RE ALL PRECIOUS AND I LOVE THEM.
Who wouldn't kill for Jem? Who wouldn't want to kill Will in his sleep but never do it bc he's just so full of life? Tessa has a backbone and an occasionally smart mouth which imho are two of the most becoming traits a woman can have. If you've ever loved someone with a terminal illness it will gut you. It's tragic. It's funny. It'll break your heart. No it's not spicy, like maybe a little bit for YA, definitely scandalous for the late 19th century, but a long way from NA. I am lowkey obsessed.

I already loved Clockwork Angel so much that I gave it five stars, but this book is even better.
I got immediately sucked into the book and it was practically impossible to read this book in public as I would often have audible reactions to everything that happened in it.
I could write a very in depth review about how much I love this book, but I just want to say that it gave me all the feels and I can't wait to see what happens in Clockwork Princess, even though I'm sure it will break my heart over and over again, just like these first two books did.
Also, even though I very much ship Wessa, Jem is the purest, most amazing character ever and I love him so much that I needed to put in a quote from him, so here it is:
"I can offer you my life, but it is a short life. I can offer you my heart, though I have no idea how many more beats it shall sustain. But I love you enough to hope that you will not care that I'm being selfish in trying to make the rest of my life -whatever its length- happy, by spending it with you"
And now don't try to tell me that that didn't make you swoon, or cry, or both.

Wow the amount of pain. The last 100 pages was basically me trying not to cry and ruin my physical edition with my tears.
