Nice story, I loved the way the characters' relationships evolved and how Maggies condition impacts the family. But my main hang-up.... why didn't her parents teach her sign language!!!
Best book in the series so far. (Not that it's really a series, all books are independent.) I loved watching Maggie and Brooks grow through the books. It was nice to see they both had issues to overcome and stayed on equal ground. Brooks doesn't save Maggie any more than Maggie saves Brooks. Mrs. Boone is an awesome character. The parent's story was equally engaging. Great book.

BUY for my library. I did not read a word.
Long story short: Cliché
Short story long: As a child who grew up with ‘trauma’, I can say the lack of “help” was alarming. Money does play a role in that, however, they seemed well off.. she should have seen someone for her PTSD, not necessarily to fix her, but to at least have a solid/healthy outlet other than a boy.
Realizing this is just ‘fiction’, and not everything works like my brain chooses to, it was a good read. I enjoyed most of it, I clocked the ‘’’**SPOILER**’’’ murderous husband from a mile away. The ending felt rushed which frustrated my brain, the pace felt so off.
Overall thoughts —> I don’t regret reading, but it won’t be on my list of recs

That’s my favorite thing about life—that no matter what, it keeps moving on.”
“What’s your least favorite thing about life?” I asked.
She lowered her head for a minute in thought, before looking back at the sky. “That no matter what, it keeps moving on.”
Beautiful, just feel like I would probably have dnf if I hadn't read this in one day. I'm glad didn't, after everything they deserve their Happy Ending!

Wow, wow, wow. I’m literally speechless—what the heck did I just read? And how have I not discovered Brittainy C. Cherry’s work before this?! This book is an emotional masterpiece about love and two broken souls who found each other, just not at the right time. I wasn’t even 10% in and I was already crying my ass off. You’re definitely going to need some tissues for this one, but trust me, every tear is so worth it. Every single moment.

It started off really promising but by the halfway mark, the story started to lose its depth and I found myself not as invested in the characters.
