I'm feeling murder, mysteries, and thrillers this year, and I'm a sucker for a good YA book, so The Legacies felt like a no trainer to read!
🗝
Set in New York, the book is multiple POV's and jumps from the time of the murder to the days leading up to it.
We follow Bernie, Isobel, and Tori, three young ladies who are nominated to part of the prestigious Legacies Club, where doors literally open for you... but at what cost?
🗝
As always, you'll find no spoilers here, but as any good YA book goes, we discover secrets, going back to years prior to the current events, friendships blossom and bloom, relationships break, but all for the greater good, right?
🗝
I always enjoy @jessicagoodman books, so I wasn't surprised I got lost in this upper class, Gossip Girl world, so if you're a YA fan, I'd definitely pick this up.
I've got The Counsellors being posted as we speak, so I can't wait to get into that one!

This book was just kind of…boring. The mystery wasn’t too compelling, the ultimate reveal anticlimactic. Fine, in terms of pacing and character development, but simply that: fine.

didn’t really care about any of the three pov characters, but something about this story still intrigued me and kept me wanting to keep reading. The mystery was solid, so I’d say if you’re looking for a Gossip Girl-esque story with a murder mystery, give this book a try
