Mais uma história envolvente de Liane Moriarty!!!
Sempre me divirto demais com os livros dela, esse não foi uma exceção.

Whew. This was not at all what I expected it to be. It’s been on my want to read list for awhile. I happened upon a commercial for this book being made into a movie? Tv show? One or the other. Either way - it sparked my interest to finally pick it up.
The story started out good. Interesting. Detailed. Even though the time line jumped around and who was telling the story changed from chapter to chapter it still was interesting to me.
But by half way through the book I was bored. There was so much fluff and extra details that weren’t needed for the story. I didn’t need a whole chapter about each of the four adult kids and what they were going through it didn’t add to the story at all.
Unfortunately I was waiting for something interesting to happen. But the climax was about as dull as all the unnecessary details that were added. Not to mention the end dragged on and useless information on COVID. Which I think also caused me to rate this book a 2.
Extra unnecessary details. Story line that went no where and a climax that was beyond bland. And an ending that dragged on. Needless to say I’m ready to be done and move on from this one.

It just wasn’t for me.
It was a book about a woman who went missing but didn’t actually go missing & her family who it seems we learnt far too much about for none of them actually seeming to be the main characters or point of the story. It all felt a bit weird. Also, it’s a lot of book for not a lot happening & a lot of book after the woman who went missing wasn’t actually missing, with a token bit of Covid thrown in right at the end.

Well written and as delightfully wicked. It starts a bit slowly but Liane is such a good writer, I didn't care. Pleasure to have character depicted in such depth and with a beautiful language and vocabulary!
I heard n an audiobook, and the narrator was excellent.
