Hmmmm. While I was hooked and interested, I did not love this book. I always forget that the author brings back every small detail and that everything is connected. The back and forth between timelines was hard to follow at first, but it got much easier. I don’t really like books that sympathize with people cheating. I also felt like the story was a little longer than necessary. The ending was great, however I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this book. I did love the tennis of it all.

I started out with the audiobook because the narrator, Caroline Lee, is one of my favorites. But I had to return it to Libby only 1/2way through so I read the second half.
I loved it. By far, my favorite Liane Moriarty so far and that says a lot.
I'm not nearly as old as the mom character, Joy, but I did identify with her frustrations over the choices her adult children make and her frustrations with her husband of many years.
This book made me nostalgic, sad, happy, and hopeful all at the same time. What more could you want?
