A solid 4 star read. Very good but felt way too long, it just kept going! This story is very character driven which I enjoyed and seeing everyones connection and feelings towards each other. I especially love that it focused a lot on an older couple which I dont see very often, but maybe that's just because its not what I generally lean towards.
Overall a very interesting and page turner of a book, definitely recommend even tho it felt slow at times!
got this sent home from the Swedish publisher

I thoroughly enjoyed this! Had me laughing hard at certain points and gasping at others. I returned one of her previous books, (a rare dnf and actually a recc) and took a long time to actually read this one despite being interested without influence.
Enjoyable, easy read. Ending a little unsatisfactory lol but still good
Liane Moriarty writes reliably enjoyable, multi-narrator family sagas with at least one central mystery that may or may not be truly devastating, and at least one relationship that needs to be dropped or seriously adjusted. While this was not my favorite of her books, it certainly qualifies for an enjoyable patio read.

The note is for my own experience but I can see why people would like it.
Only thing I ca say to avoid spoiler is some things are kept out so we can’t even guess correctly and grudge could be avoided with therapy.

Great read - fantastic characters!! Really enjoyed how it was more centred around the complicated family dynamics and dramas and not Joy’s disappearance. The alternating timelines and points of view were really well done (loved the random side characters POVs). Wasn’t a fan of the over explained ending though and was weird having covid brought into it too.
