Ever since I finished the Trinity Academy series by Michelle, I have been so ready to read the spin off series starring their kids, and the kids from the Enemies to Lovers series. The crossover of these two worlds began in the final two books of the Trinity Academy series and I was excited to see all the kids grown up and ready to have their own HEAs. Tempted Heir is book 7, and the penultimate book, in the Heirs series but can be read as a standalone, and although I was not as excited for Dash and Christopher’s book as some of the previous, it’s safe to say they are now one of my favourite couples from this series.

Dash and Christopher have been friends since they were babies, but nothing romantic has ever happened between them as they put together a pact when they were in their teens to always remain friends. Until one night in their early 20s when they agree if they aren’t married by 30, they will get together. 5 years later, Dash decides she wants a child, even though she has no one to have a baby with, deciding to use a sperm donor. Christopher, who has been harbouring feelings for Dash for years and has been patiently waiting until she’s 30 realises this is his chance, and offers her what she wants, but on his terms, he wants to try a real relationship. Dash is hesitant at first, she’s had a history of bad relationships, but hesitantly agrees. Everything is like a fairy-tale, until someone from Dash’s past reappears, but will they ruin everything Dash and Christopher have built?

This was such a perfect friends to romance, because there had been this simmering tension between them for so long, but neither wanted to ruin their friendship by acting on it. I loved how their connection was so real, and they felt so comfortable with each other, the only thing missing between their relationship and a romantic one was the intimacy, which they soon had by the bucket load.

Christopher had been ready to show Dash his true feelings for her for so long, and he knew that he only had this chance to prove to Dash that they were meant to be. I loved his persistence, how he knew that she didn’t believe him at first, not because he hadn’t shown her how much he cared but because of her own insecurities. But he helped bring her out of her shell, show her that the only person’s whose opinion matters is her own, and that she deserves everything she wants in life, whether that’s Christopher or a baby. But his alpha side he kept hidden from her was so hot, I love when heroes have this alternate side of them they only show their heroine, and despite how well they knew each other, Christopher still kept some surprises up his sleeve for when Dash finally became his.

Dash had spent so long being told she wasn’t good enough by previous partners, although she and everyone else thought she’d healed over time, it was clear when the prospect of a relationship with Christopher came up, it brought back all these self-doubts. But Christopher helped her work through them, proving that he would be there whenever she needed him, and would stop at nothing ot keep her safe, from not only outsiders but herself too. Her experience was traumatic and terrifying, but I really liked how Michelle wrote her recovery, it was realistic and not instant, she wasn’t back to her normal self again by the end, she was slowly working her way there, and that’s completely okay, healing takes time. But she knew that she had Christopher’s love and support no matter what.

I liked how we saw so much more of the older generation of the kids in this book, and got to know them better, as it wasn’t set in college like a lot of the previous books in this series were. I am going to be so sad to see these characters go, this integrated family has a special place in my heart, but I am so ready to read Danny and Ryker’s story in Forbidden Heir, the final book in the Heirs series, next!

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.*

This is a difficult review to write, because I don't want to spoil anything about this book.

I will say it's an emotional read. Dash and Christopher are one of those couples that were always meant to be together, but fear of what it would do to their friendship kept them apart.

This story is what happens when they lay all their cards on the table. As this is Michelle Heard book there's a bump in the road for them, and when I say 'bump' I mean mountain.

I cried multiple times, happy tears, sad tears, pure frustration! Every book in this series hits me right in the FEELS.

Christopher and Dash's story is fantastic, this series is one of my favorites, this a friends to lovers story with more angst and romance you can imagine. The characters are extremely likable, their stories unique and refreshing. You think you got it all figured it out and then a twist and turn you never saw coming that will have you reading until you finish, give this book and the whole series the opportunity to blow your mind. 5-stars!

Ugh where do I even start?!
I was sooooo ready for Christopher’s book and I had no idea where this one was going to go but I was super excited nonetheless!

Gahhh I was not expecting all the emotions from this one! I literally read this in a few hours because I couldn’t put it down!

Dash went through hell and with Chris’s help they powered through. It definitely pulled some of my emotions with how raw and beautifully it was written.

Michelle’s writing will always be one of my favorites! I absolutely cannot wait for the final book! (But like I feel like the heirs should have books with their kids now

It was simple all Dash wanted was to have a baby, she was going to meet with a sperm bank and make it happen for her.
Christopher has always been her best friend, her person, and also the one that every female wants.
When Christopher finds out about Dash going to use a sperm donor it’s a definite no from him, he will be the sperm donor.
Suddenly Dash starts to see the reason why her best friend is the man that everyone wants, and things change.
Christopher sees Dash as the other half of him and regrets the pact they made to never date when they were younger. Chris has always wanted Dash and now is he chance to keep his best friend his everything.
As always, it’s not that simple with Michelle throwing in a few curve balls along the way. I don’t know if
curve ball is a strong enough word, because this one makes even the normally happy Miss Sebastian lose her sparkle, but only for a minute.
The series is nearly finished with only one left to go, can’t wait because I know that the series will finish in an amazing way.

This book has you in all of the feelings!! I wanted Christopher to be a bit more dominating but his alpha tendencies were hot! Dash is precious and this plot has you at the edge of your seat throughout the story!

I am speechless. This book broke me. I thought I was going to get a sweet and endearing journey of Christopher and Dash navigating the more than friends waters and all the awkwardness that might entail when he proposes that he be her baby daddy. But nope. My stomach dropped and my heart was gutted. To say that their journey is painful and heartbreaking is an understatement. But they overcome all of it and are stronger and more in love because of it. I don't know how this author does it but each one of these books is so good. I really don't want this series to end.
