I had been burning for revenge for a long time, and now I was going to do some real burning, to get them back for all they’d done to us.
, proprio perchè non me l'aspettavo!!
Ho qualche dubbio sul finale
Spoilertutta la storia di Lee mi è sembrata un po' troppo fuori dal personaggio, messa lì perchè ci doveva essere un elemento che andava a rompere un po' gli equilibri..
ma quel "We’re home already." è davvero di buon auspicio per il continuo della saga.

This is Lee on a rampage + Stratton. It's okay, but it's mostly something you rush through to get to see what happens next

This series has really grown on me. I'm going to feel a sense of loss when it's over. It takes me back to being a teenager, that's a large part of its appeal for me. Marsden has a gift for writing such believable teenage kids, especially Ellie. I never find it cliché even when I know it will turn out for the best. I think many of us would wish to have their courage, tenacity and ability to stand up for their homes against a powerful enemy.

The 5th installment for the Tomorrow series adds more hurt and trauma to Ellie and her friends. They are navigating friendship and relationships while also trying to help New Zealand win a war. I feel like this story will get lost in the overall story as it doesn't add anything to the story. Other than that, the world that the Tomorrow series is set in, is beautiful to read. I am still enjoying the series as a whole, I just wished there was more that the series offers.

A good continuation of the Tomorrow Series.

The sound of a thousand dying pigs. This made me laugh so much, even if it was a serious moment. Then out of the blue, a quote from Fiddler On The Roof, my heart warmed.
The character development kept on a good trajectory. Yet, every time I read of the prison/ work camps, I couldn't help but wonder how the immigrants who fled those places after ww2 felt.

All in all, I enjoyed this book and am excited to read the next.

DNF, storyline became repetitive and I didnt like how they were treating Kevin and I really didnt like how Marsden glosses over the fact Ellie was sexually assaulted
