DNF. I listened to the audiobook but I could not stand to listen to that voice any longer. Perhaps I'll attempt the hardcopy version someday, as I feel this book does have some potential as a light read.
I didn't have high expectations. Fluffy chick lit, which is exactly what I was looking for.
I generally love anything that Elin writes but this book was hard to get into. It was a cute written book but I was just looking for something more.
Let me get the obvious out of the way. This is not my favorite book by Hilderbrand. Let me also point out that this book isn’t my least favorite. It sits comfortably somewhere in between. I feel like this was a book that was easy to read during a hectic time in my life. I’m so grateful to this book for that simple fact alone. Let’s be real...most of us pick up Hilderbrand’s book for the setting. I love reading about this small but mighty part of the world. Each time I read one of her books I fall in love all over again. Her characters are what can take her books from ok to fantastic for me. This story had some characters I really enjoyed and other characters I couldn’t stand. I think that’s why it ended up in the middle of my rating spectrum. I appreciated the overall story but just couldn’t connect with it in a personal way like I have with many of her other works. I listened to the audiobook which had fantastic narration. Highly recommend if audiobooks are your thing.

Solid beach read type of book, and the light entertainment I was looking to read this weekend!
3.5 stars rounded up. I love Elin’s books, all usually around 4 stars for me, and this one was no different. I thought it was a little slow in the first half, hence the half-star knock, and I wasn’t crazy about how a few of the characters ended up, but still a fun, breezy beach read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I was surprised to find that the book is never told in Jenna (the bride's) point of view.
