Ridiculous
Tasteless
Cringy

I gotta say that the sex is the most ludicrous sex I've ever encountered, because... they raise the bar to space! They make Clay talk the cheesiest lines about it and when they fucked it was the most unsatisfying sex ever. Driest than the desert, plain.

Rich girl running away from the constraints of her life and arranged marriage then falling into the arms of a handsome stranger? You’ve got me!
I read this mainly because I saw the trailer for the movie on Passionflix and I am SO happy I read the book first because I absolutely loved it. ‘Saint’ has my heart and the relationship between the two of them is beautiful - can’t wait to read the next two stories!

So I think I have already read this book before, but I have also watched the movie of this book by Passionflix. So even if the story hadn’t been read by me before, I knew the story because give Passionflix their due they stuck so accurately to this book. Therefore I managed to read through it quickly and nothing really surprised me.
However what I loved about reading this book that I didn’t get from watching the movie was the inner feelings and in our monologues of clay and Samantha. There was definitely moments of this book that made my heart leap and the butterflies in my stomach pull, and I imagine if you didn’t know the story it would be even better.
It’s quite a short story and it is quite easily read, but it definitely packs a punch. I think the only thing for me that didn’t quite work personally was that because it was a shorter story the plot twist and action did feel a little bit rushed towards the end. I think I would’ve liked to see a little bit more from these characters.
However what I am now looking forward to doing is reading all of the other books because I definitely think that Mason is going to be my favourite brother.
Steam rating: 15 uk movie rating
TWs:
Mention of drug addicts
Minor mention of prostitution
Childhood abuse, explicit mention of cigarette burns, moderate mention of slapping/punching

So I'm just in love with this book. Somehow I read the 2nd book first and just had to go back and find out Clay's story!
I listened to this book as part of a book club selection. I really wanted to love it, I have heard the Passionflix movie is good! I found that this story didn’t really stand out for me, maybe it’s my saturation in romance, but I frequently got distracted and lost interest when listening. Narrated by Sophie Eastlake, I found her speaking and female narration as calming and pleasant. Her male voice sounded a little forced, but we not aversive to me. I think for people who are newer to romance or haven’t listened to quite as many as me, they might find this to be more enjoyable.
Hot. Really hot. Interesting premise, could have been a bit better at the end. But ok overall.
Give me more, give me more :D
4 or 5... real difficult.
Characters
Super awesome.
Saint kinda seemed like a bad boy but this man seriously has a heart made of gold. He’s ambitious, kind, always trying to help those who need him and an amazing boyfriend. Sure, he has his demons and he’s got lots of them but the way he handles them? Amazing.
The woman of his choice. At first glance, he thought she was just a rich girl trying to find her way home. Well, guess again. Maybe Samantha’s just the one he needs.
I loved the female character. Sure, she could have woken up sooner and could have started her real life years before but I don’t think I can judge her for that. I like Samantha as the woman who finally gets Saint to admit his feelings. Plus, I totally love the way she fights for him.
The main characters were simply awesome but I also loved all the others, like Katrina or Clay’s brothers. I’m pretty excited about Levi’s story :D
I am sure I won’t read part two of this installment (about Mason and Kat) cause I’ve got a huge problem with guys who can’t keep it in their pants even though they’ve got a best friend who is just perfect for them – in each and every way. Don’t like this. It’s cruel and heartbreaking and I don’t buy that they can just change after they’ve had this best-friend once.
Plot
Great background stories. Nice plotline (maybe a bit too much on the forgiving side for me but hey…)
Writing style
Perfect. Love it that Wilde and Phillips work together on this! Awesome editing, awesome style!

‘He left no part of her untouched. Physically, he owned her. Emotionally, he felt so right, so much a part of her. So inevitable. Like she’d been waiting her whole entire life to meet him, to be with him.’
Dirty Sexy Saint definitely lived up to its name. Romance with an erotic edge and lots of family drama paved the way to make this a steamy yet compelling story. I can’t imagine what to expect as the series continues considering how hot it’s starting off!
Talk about an ‘opposites attract’ romance. Clay and Samantha couldn’t have been any more different from each other, both in personality and background. But they made a perfectly balanced pair. It was fun to watch as Samantha’s inner bad girl came out while Clay was knocked off his feet emotionally with the connection between them.
